The first Balkan conference on standardization which was organized by the Institute for Standardization of Republic of Macedonia (ISRM) was held in Ohrid from 14 to 16 June 2011.
International Organization for standardization (ISO) along with the Latvian national standardization body (LVS), organized regional workshop on ISO Social responsibility. Open Forum and workshops were held from 31 May to 2 June 2011 in Riga, Latvia, with financial support from the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA).

The Institute for standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BAS), along with International organization for standardization (ISO) organized ISO regional workshop „Life cycle assessment and ISO 14040“. The workshop was held from 25 to 27 October 2010 at the Institute for standardization B&H with financial support by ISO and Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
Polish delegation visited the Institute for standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Representatives of major companies in mining and energy industry from Poland were acquainted with the work of the Institute, particularly with certification of Ex-equipment that they would like to market on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Institute for standardization of BH signed Memorandum of Understanding with UNDP (United Nation Development Program), a body of United Nations.
