76th IEC General Meeting

From  01 to 05 October 2012, in Oslo (Norway), 76th Annual Meeting of IEC was held. Norwegian Electrotechnical Committee (NEK) hosted all events under the protection of His Majesty King Harald V. Aleksandar Cincar, Director of the Institute for Standardization, and Mirjana Šućur, Secretary General of BAKE represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at the General Assembly.  

Meetings of Advisory and Management Committees took place in Oslo Congress Centre while technical committee meetings were held at the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel.

BiH delegation attended the following meetings:

01.10.2012. – Meeting of the  Standardization Management Board - SMB
02.10.2012. - Meeting of the Conformity Assessment Board - CAB
03.10.2012. -Workshop for industrializing Countries
04.10.2012. - Forum of Secretary and President of the IEC National Committees/Commissions
05.10.2012. – 76th IEC General Meeting, where BiH could attend without voting rights. The President, Vice-Presidents, Secretary and Treasurer submitted reports on their activities and the work of IEC and its working bodies, which were later adopted. New members of the working bodies were elected. The implementation of the plan, cooperation with other international and regional organizations, etc were also discussed. Lord Kelvin Award (founder of the IEC) for 2012 was awarded to Friedrich Harless, Germany, Chairman of the technical committee IEC/TC 4 and President of ACOS (SMB Advisory Committee on Safety) for outstanding contribution to international standardization.
