March 15 - World Consumer Rights Day

World Consumer Rights Day is celebrated annually on 15th of March. For the first time this year in Berlin, within the G20, and as part of the German presidency, a consumer summit “Building a digital world consumers can trust” was held.

Memorandum of Understanding with UNE

ISO 37001 - Anti-bribery management systems

Bribery is one of the world’s most destructive and challenging issues. According to the information of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) over US$ 1 trillion is paid in bribes each year and the consequences are catastrophic, reducing quality of life, increasing poverty and eroding public trust.

Standards for quantities and units are under revision

The ISO/IEC 80000 quantities and units series is referenced in the International Bureau of Weights and Measurements (BIPM)’s guide on the International System of Units and thus provides significant support for the definition of quantities and units. It consists of 13 different parts, featuring 11 of ISO and 2 from IEC, some of which are approaching final stage of their revision.

The future of airports

According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), passenger numbers are likely to surge in the next couple of decades. IATA expects 7.2 billion passenger to travel by air, a near doubling of today’s 3.8 billion level.
