Forum and Workshop on Internet of Things (IoT) standards: Impact on industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina

On 21 and 23 November 2018, a forum and workshop “Internet of Things (IoT) standards: Impact on the Industry in BiH” was organized by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in Sarajevo and Banja Luka:.

 

 

The forum was attended by over 60 participants in both cities. The lecturers were IT experts from Australia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, India, Germany, Serbia and the United Arab Emirates. The participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with IEEE and its engagement in industry, as well as with IEEE standards. They also had the opportunity to hear about experiences from the United Arab Emirates and practical examples from colleagues from Australia and recommendations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as a review of the Internet of Things in our country. They talked about the standardization of medical and biological devices through IEEE, developing IoT (Internet of Things) products for international clients, and delivering IoT solutions globally from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

 

The Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina was represented by Aleksandar Cincar, director of the Institute, who introduced present participants with the work of the Institute with a special emphasis on standardization in the field of Internet of Things (IoT).
