On Friday, December 14, 2018, the Director of the Institute for Standardization of BiH, Mr. Aleksandar Cincar, and the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy, Ms. Brankica Milojević, signed Memorandum of understanding and cooperation in the field of standardization within the Solemn Academy on the occasion of 22nd anniversary of the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy of the University of Banja Luka.  

Based on the signed Memorandum, the signatories will be able to exchange information, written materials and experiences, and work together in the field of adoption, development and implementation of standards.

Cooperation also covers joint work on the introduction of the course on standardization in the basic curriculum at the Faculty, as well as on the development of textbooks on standardization aimed at familiarizing students with the purpose of standards, the activities of BiH standardization and the goals of standardization.

The Memorandum also envisages that the Institute for Standardization of BiH and the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy jointly implement education in the field of standardization, as well as education related to the implementation and application of standards in practice.

Also, one of the goals is that the signatories encourage the involvement of stakeholders from the educational and other sectors in the Institute's expert bodies (BAS/TCs) through which the BAS standards are prepared, adopted and published.

The signing of this Memorandum represents one of the activities carried out by the management of the Institute for Standardization of BiH in order to improve and strengthen cooperation with academia in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
