Eurocodes Manual has been donated
On November 9, 2018, on behalf of the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Deputy Director Mr. Borislav Kraljević, donated copies of the Handbook on Eurocodes to the Library of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Mostar, and the Library of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University “Džemal Bijedić”.
The Handbook gives a brief insight into the world of the European system of technical standards that deal with the design and evaluation of constructions and benefits everyone who wants to use Eurocodes, as well as those involved in the design and evaluation of constructions.
The purpose of the Handbook is to present to the public the principles and procedures of a set of European technical standards, which provide a unique system of technical rules for the design of buildings and civil engineering works including all basic building materials and the integration of design methodologies in common areas of different types of structures.
The Handbook was prepared by a group of experts from Bosnia and Herzegovina, members of the Technical Committees for Eurocodes, within the project “Support to the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Area of Implementation of Eurocodes”, which was realized with the financial support of the Czech Development Agency (CZA) and the Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing (ÚNMZ).
The Handbook is available for free to all stakeholders via the Eurocodes website, or via the following link.
The donation was made to promote standardization in the Curricula, and in the following period the Handbook will be donated to other Faculties of Civil Engineering in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
