Припрема и утврђивање предлога босанскохерцеговачких (BAS) стандарда, преузимање међународних и европских стандарда те ревизија постојећих важећих стандарда из области информационе технологије, укључујући магнетне картице и картице с интегралним колима, симболе при кодирању цртицама (бар код), телематику која се примјењује у друмском промету и транспорту, здравствену информатику, скупове карактера, инжeњеринг информационих система, те електронску размјену података.
