37th CIGRE Conference – Serbia 2025

The 37th Conference of the Serbian National Committee of the International Council on Large Electric Systems (CIGRE) was held on Kopaonik from May 26 to 30, 2025.

This year's event featured the presentation of as many as 180 professional, research, and scientific papers. Participants had the opportunity to attend a heavy work programme that included eight thematic panels, as well as the technical exhibition CIGRE Serbia EXPO 2025.

Panel seven was specially interesting: Grid-forming Technologies – The Future of Power System Stability. The panel was moderated by Jasna Dragosavac from the “Nikola Tesla“ Electrical Engineering Institute and focused on technical solutions that enable renewable energy sources to actively contribute to system stability. The latest ENTSO-E report from May 2024 was presented, along with an analysis of relevant examples, including the system collapse in Spain.

On behalf of the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the conference was attended by Ivona Pikić-Hart, expert associate, and Željka Popić, senior expert associate.
