Regional Conference "Benefits of quality management in public administration"
Under the auspices of the Office of the Coordinator for Public Administration Reform and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) a regional conference on the "Benefits of quality management in public administration” was held In Sarajevo on 17 and 18 November 2016. During the Conference the quality of public administration work and openness to customers and citizens were discussed. Also, two models for establishing a quality management system in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina were presented:
- CAF (Common Assessment Framework) model;
- Establishing a management system in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001.
Bearing in mind the necessity and importance of regional integration conference, on the second day the participants had the opportunity to learn about the regional developments and trends in transnational cooperation and activities and plans regarding the systematic introduction of quality management in public administration, as well as to gain insight into the work of regional working groups for quality management of the Western Balkans.
On behalf of the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina the Conference was attended by Mr. Miljan Savić, expert advisor for standardization in the field of ISO/CEN, who gave a presentation and talked about the implementation of the management system in accordance with EN ISO 9001: 2008, but also about the maintenance of the system. The Institute for Standardization of BiH has already established a quality management system in accordance with the requirements of EN ISO 9001: 2008 since 2009.
