BAS EN 13018:2002

This European Standard describes the general principles required for the visual testing of all types of components both directly and remotely. Visual testing is generally used to determine, for example, the surface condition of the part, alignment of mating surfaces, shape, or evidence of leakage. This includes the interpretation of readings from measuring equipment. In addition, visual testing is used to determine a composite material''s (translucent laminate) subsurface conditions.
