The third edition of BAS EN ISO 3834 -1:2023 and the fourth edition of BAS EN ISO 3834-5:2023 were prepared in a bilingual version, in Bosnian and English language.

The original texts of international standards were prepared by the Technical Committee ISO/TC 44, Welding and allied processes, in cooperation with the Technical Committee CEN/TC 121, Welding and allied processes, whose secretariat is held by DIN.

BAS EN ISO 3834-1:2023 specifies a general outline of the ISO 3834 series and criteria to be taken into account for the selection of the appropriate level of quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials, among the three levels specified in ISO 3834-2, ISO 3834-3 and ISO 3834-4.

It is applicable to manufacturing, both in workshops and at field installation sites.

This standard does not specify requirements for a total quality management system (QMS). However, Clause 6 identifies QMS elements where their inclusion complements the ISO 3834 series.

BAS EN ISO 3834-5:2023 specifies the international standards, including clauses and subclauses, with which conformity to the quality requirements of ISO 3834-2, ISO 3834-3 or ISO 3834-4 can be claimed.

BiH standards BAS EN ISO 3834-1:2023 and BAS EN ISO 3834-5:2023 were prepared by the Technical Committee BAS/TC 2, Welding and allied processes.
