BAS EN ISO 11490:2024, Jewellery and precious metals - Determination of palladium - Gravimetry using dimethylglyoxime (EN ISO 11490:2023, IDT; ISO 11490:2023, IDT), has been published
BiH standard BAS EN ISO 11490:2024, third edition, is a translation of EN ISO 11490:2023 and has a status of a BiH standard.
The original text of this European standard was prepared by the Technical Committee ISO/TC 174, Jewellery and precious metals, in collaboration with the Technical Committee CEN/SS M21, Precious metals - Applications in jewellery and associated products, whose secretariat is held by CCMC.
This document specifies in detail the gravimetric method for determining palladium on a material considered homogeneous. The palladium content of the sample lies preferably between 50 and 999 parts per thousand (‰) by mass. Fineness above 999 ‰ can be determined using a spectroscopy method by difference (e.g., ISO 15093).
This method is also intended to be used as one of the recommended methods for the determination of fineness in jewellery alloys covered by ISO 9202.
BAS EN ISO 11490:2024 is a translation from English into Serbian language. This BiH standard supersedes and replaces BAS EN ISO 11490:2011, Determination of palladium in palladium jewellery alloys - Gravimetric determination with dimethylglyoxime and was prepared by the Technical Committee BAS/TC 38, Metrology and Measurements.
