Successfully Held Webinar on the New ISO 14001:2026 Standard

Yesterday, the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina organized a professional webinar dedicated to the latest version of one of the world's most significant standards – ISO 14001:2026, Environmental Management Systems – Requirements with guidance for use.

Coinciding with the webinar, on April 15, 2026, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) officially released the new standard. Simultaneously, the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) published EN ISO 14001:2026.

During the webinar, Dr. Katarina Hafner - Vuk, Chair of the Technical Committee BAS/TC 7, Environment, provided a detailed overview of the most important aspects of the new version of the standard:

  • Evolution of the Standard: Core changes in ISO 14001:2026 compared to the previous 2015 version.
  • Reasons for the Revision: Why it was necessary to update the standard and how it adapts to new global challenges.
  • Transition Period: Key dates and the timeframe within which organizations must align their systems with the new requirements.
  • Preparing for Changes: Practical guidelines on how to prepare timely and effectively for the implementation of the new requirements.
