Institute for standardization of BH signed Memorandum of Understanding with UNDP (United Nation Development Program), a body of United Nations.  

The purpose of this MoU is to establish framework and facilitate cooperation in the areas of common interest, without limiting cooperation with other stakeholders, to implement  “Value chains for employment " project (VCE).

The aims of cooperation are:
  • strengthening the Institute's development capacities through the purchase of necessary hardware components that would improve the work of the Institute's information systems;
  • the establishment of closer ties between the participants in the VCE project  on the one hand and the Institute on the other, in order to improve resources for the life of the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina;
  • creating a transparent mechanism through which all participants in the VCE project would be better acquainted with all aspects of the Institute's work and the importance of standardization;
  • to create faster and simpler process of standardization of BH companies;
  • educating and raising awareness of all participants in the VCE project on the needs, importance and effects of the adoption of BAS standards and taking over European and international standards;
  • creating preconditions for sustainable and successful continuation of the activities during and after implementation of the VCE.

Within cooperation of UNDP and the BAS on the “Value chains for employment " project, the UNDP bore the expenses of purchasing hardware and  appropriate software for the Institute and as well for:

  • color printer;
  • Backup server;
  • 2 GB switches for improvement of Institute's network performances.

Procurement was made in order to improve work of the Institute and achieving better communication with stakeholders and users.
