Participation of the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the XIII International Scientific – Professional Symposium INFOTEH ®-JAHORINA 2014

Xlll International Scientific – Professional Symposium “INFOTEH ® JAHORINA – 2014” was held in Jahorina, from 19 - 21 March 2014, hosted by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering East Sarajevo. The aim of the Symposium is to gather the experts, scientists, engineers, researchers and students that deal with information technologies and their application in control, communication, production and electronic systems, power engineering and in other areas of interest for a faster and more successful development of the environment we live in. The working part of the Symposium is organized through sessions, round tables, invited lectures and presentations.

 

Within the Agreement on Cooperation between the Institute for Standardization of BiH and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering East Sarajevo, and in order to promote, raise awareness and importance of the role of standardization in BiH, two round tables on “Energy management systems and BAS EN ISO 50001”  and “Information security and BAS ISO/IEC 27001” were organized.

 

The first round table on “Energy management systems and BAS EN ISO 50001” was held on March19th, where, beside the general overview of the situation in BiH regarding energy efficiency, the basic requirements of BAS EN ISO 50001 and practical examples and experience of implementation of BAS EN ISO 50001 were presented as well. Speakers at the roundtable were Dusan Djurdjevac and Miljan Savic from the Institute for Standardization of BiH and Refik Trumic from ALFE - MI Zivinice.

 

The second round table on “Information Security and BAS ISO/IEC 27001” was held on  March 20th, where the basic terms of the information security, BAS ISO/IEC 27001, management risk analysis in information security were presented as well as a review of the situation in BiH regarding information security and practical example of the implementation of the ISMS according to the standard BAS ISO/IEC 27001. Speakers at the roundtable were Zvjezdan Sehovac and Miljan Savic from the Institute for Standardization of BiH,  Enver Delic from Privredna Banka Sarajevo and Dalibor Ceko from the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of BiH - IDDEEA.
