Turkish Standards Institution opened its office in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Within EuroTecS 2013 - European conference in technology and society that was held on 27 and 28 June in Sarajevo, Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) has opened an office within IUS Center for Research and Development. The aim of TSE is to perform conformity assessment activities at the regional level.

Present  guests were addressed by Mr. Nihat Ergün, Minister of Science, Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Hasan Topaloglu, director of the Foundation for Development of Education in Sarajevo (SEDEF), PhD Özer Çinar, IUS Rector, PhD Ümit Alver, director of the Center for Research and Development, Mr. Üzeyir Karagöz, Secretary General of the Turkish Standards Institution. Opening ceremony was also attended by the director of the Institute for Standardization (BAS), Mr. Aleksandar Cincar.

The memorandum of understanding and cooperation was signed between the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) and the Institute for Standardization (BAS) in 2010. Since the basis for cooperation already exists, the representatives of those two institutions started talking and initiated concrete activities.
