Three-day Visit of Representatives of the Institute for Standardization to the Croatian Standards Institute

From 29 June to 1 July 2016, a four-member delegation of the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina consisting of: Tihomir Anđelić, Mirjana Šućur, Stana Buha and Željka Popić, paid a three-day visit to the Croatian Standards Institute (HZN) in Zagreb , organized on the basis of the signed Agreement on business and technical cooperation between the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BAS) and the Croatian standards Institute (HZN).

The aim of the visit was to exchange experiences in the standardization work with the representatives of HZN, a longtime member of CEN and CENELEC, on matters in which the Institute, as an associate member, can not participate.

They discussed the organization of standardization in Croatia, the work of the Technical Committees, stakeholder involvement, the collection and distribution of working documents, conducting polls on development of European standards, exchange of experience in managing a database of standardization projects, notifications on adopted national standards in iPROJEX, copyright protection, and conditions for meeting the criteria for full membership in CEN and CENELEC.

In addition, representatives of the Institute were acquainted with the work of Standards library of HZN.

The visit was very useful. All new experiences will be used to improve standardization activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and meet the criteria for full membership in CEN and CENELEC.
