World Standards Day 2017 - Calling All Creatives
The annual World Standards Day contest organized by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), is now double the fun – participate with either a poster or video. The winners in both categories will be awarded CHF 1500, a poster and a video will be used as part of the celebration of World Standards Day 2017.
This year's theme is “Standards make cities smarter” and these organizations are looking for the most inspired and creative illustration of how International Standards contribute to making cities smarter.
Think about how International Standards allow things to work safely and smoothly together at every level in cities - from travel to communication technologies, to waste management and cleaner energy.
The organizers of the competition will select the top 10 favourite posters and videos based on:
Relevance: does your poster/video clearly illustrate a way in which International Standards help make cities smarter?
Understanding: do you understand the impact of Standards developed by IEC, ISO, ITU on our lives?
Creativity and originality: we are looking for a variety of examples, so you will have more chance if you are not doing the same as everyone else
Comply with the rules and specifications below:

Once IEC, ISO and ITU have selected their top 10 favourites, they will put them up for vote on their social media channels, and then it will be up to the public to decide!
The deadline for posters submissions is June 5, and for videos 14 August 2017.
