World Day for Safety and Health at Work

On April 28, 2024, World Day for Safety and Health at Work is observed in order to stress the prevention of accidents and diseases at work.

In addition, April 28 is also the International Commemoration Day for Dead and Injured Workers, organized worldwide by the trade union movements since 1996. On this occasion, the International Labour Organization (ILO) is launching a new report titled Ensuring Safety and Health at Work in a Changing Climate”, which reveals alarming new data on the impact of climate change on workers’ safety and health.

A global event with experts and guest speakers from governments, employers, and workers discussing how to protect workers and respond to this global climate crisis will take place on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 13:30 to 15:00 (CEST).

The event can be followed via ILO Live.
