Standard BAS IEC 60050-617:2015, International Electrotechnical Vocabulary – Part 617: Organization/Market of electricity, first edition, is a translated version of International standard IEC 60050-617:2009 and it includes the amendment A1 from 2011.

Due to deregulation of the electricity market, it appeared necessary to establish a common glossary with those terms defining actors in the market, interface between actors and the technical or financial terms having a specific meaning in the context of electricity market.

This edition of BAS standard was prepared by Technical Committee BAS/TC 10, Electrical energy measurement equipment and load control.
