BiH standard BAS IEC 60050-605:2016, International Electrotechnical Vocabulary - Chapter 605: Generation, transmission and distribution of electricity - Substations, is an identical translation of the English version of the international standard IEC 60050-605: 1983, International Electrotechnical Vocabulary. Chapter 605: Generation, transmission and distribution of electricity - Substations.

This second edition which is adopted into the BiH standardization system by the translation method was prepared by the Technical Committee BAS/TC 8 Insulation co-ordination, high-voltage testing and instrument transformers and replaces the standard BAS IEC 60050-605: 2008, International Electrotechnical Vocabulary - Chapter 605: Generation, transmission and distribution of electricity - Substations.

This standard defines terms and definitions for types of substations – substation layouts, primary plant of substations and the secondary arrangements of substations.
