Seminar: “Requirements for the operation of various types of bodies performing inspection according to ISO/IEC 17020: 2012”

The Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Srpska in cooperation with the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic Institute for Standardization and Metrology of the Republic of Srpska and the Institute for Standardization of Serbia organized a seminar “Requirements for the operation of various types of bodies according to ISO/IEC 17020: 2012 “ in Banja Luka from 7 to 8 June 2018.

 

 

The aim of the seminar is to get acquainted and interpret the requirements of the ISO/IEC 17020: 2012 for the purpose of implementing the documents of the management system in the inspection bodies.

 

 

The seminar is intended for quality managers, technical managers and personnel of inspection bodies involved in the activities of the management system and/or technical activities in the conformity assessment bodies.

 

 

During the first part of the seminar, the participants were acquainted with:

 

  • Requirements regarding impartiality and independence, confidentiality, types of inspection bodies,
  • Structural requirements, administrative requirements, organization and management,
  • Resource requirements - personnel, facilities and equipment, subcontracting.

 

 

 

During the second day of the seminar, the participants discussed the following:

 

  • Process requirements– inspection methods and procedures, handling inspection items and samples,
  • Management system requirements - options, documentation, document management and records,
  • Other documents relevant to the operation of the inspection bodies.

During the seminar, an exercise was held in which all participants took part, and whose aim was to better understand the requirements of the ISO/IEC 17020: 2012.
