Regional Course on Good Standardization Practice

Within the ISO Action Plan for developing countries 2011-2015, ISO Central Secretariat organized a Regional Course on Good Standardization Practice from 6 to 7 October 2014 in Vilnius, Lithuania. The course was organized in cooperation with the Lithuanian Standards Board (LST) with the support of the Swedish development cooperation.

The aim of the course is to provide training, tools and support to ISO members in order to raise awareness and develop skills in the field of good standardization practice. The course helped the participants to understand what a good standardization practice is and why it is important that the National Standards Bodies follow these practices and implement systems to ensure that they do so continuously.

 

The trainers were Mr. Kevin McKinley - ISO Deputy Secretary-General and Mr. Trevor Vyze - ISO Director Standards Development.

Participants were high-ranking representatives from national standardization bodies from Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia countries. Bosnia and Herzegovina was represented by Mr. Borislav Kraljević, Deputy Director of the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
