Proposal for the Withdrawal of Original BAS Standards

BAS Technical Committees initiate the review process of the original national standards, no later than five years after their publication in order to determine whether there are still reasons for their application, and whether the provisions of these standards are still in compliance with their intended use.

 

BAS Technical Committees are reviewing published original BiH standards and making recommendations for their approval, revision or withdrawal.

 

At the 23rd session of the BAS/TC 23, Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, the members of the Technical Committee carried out a review of the following original BAS standards from their work area:

  

BAS 1006:2003, Medicinal Plants – Sage leaf (Salviae folium)
BAS 1007:2003, Medicinal Plants – Chamomille Flower (Chamomillae flos-Matricariae flos)
BAS 1019:2003, Medicinal and Aromatic Plants – Microbiological quality, content of pesticides, heavy metals and radioactivity
BAS 1020:2003, Medicinal Plants – Peppermint Leaf (Menthae piperitae folium)
BAS 1021:2003, Medicinal Plants – St. John's Wort (Hyperici herba)
BAS 1022:2003, Medicinal Plants – Primula Root (Primulae radix)
BAS 1023:2003, Medicinal Plants – Juniper Berry (Juniperi fructus)
BAS 1031:2005, Medicinal Plants - Yarrow (Millefoli herba)
BAS 1032:2005, Medicinal Plants - Birch Leaf (Betulae folium)
BAS 1033:2005, Medicinal Plants - Montanain germander herb (Teucrii montani herba)
BAS 1034:2005, Medicinal Plants - Lime Flower (Tiliae flos)
BAS 1035:2005, Medicinal Plants - Nettle Leaf (Urticae folium)
BAS 1046:2007, Medicinal Plants - Gentian Root (Gentianae luteae radix)
BAS 1048:2007, Medicinal Plants - Elder Flower (Sambuci flos)

 

 

and proposed their withdrawal. In order to reach a final decision in accordance with BAS Guide 4, a public enquiry is being published.

 

Written comments on the proposals of the above standards for withdrawal (phase preparation 95.20), can be submitted to the Institute within 60 days from the date of publication of this information at the website of the Institute.
