“Memorandum of Understanding in the field of standardization between Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing and Institute for standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina”
Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH in cooperation with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bosnia and Herzegovina organized Business Forum between Bosnia and Herzegovina and The Czech Republic on 18 December 2012 in Sarajevo, with more than 40 Czech companies interested in investing in BiH economy. The objective of the forum and cooperation between the Czech Republic and Bosnia and Herzegovina is the improvement of economic and trade relations between the two countries, through increased investment capital of Czech companies in BiH.
At the ceremony within this forum Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Sarovic and Ambassador of the Czech Republic in BiH Tomas Szunying signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Czech Development Agency and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations. This Memorandum should be a support for the affirmation of the principles of free trade, and in particular support to BiH in achieving a certain level of product safety, as well as help of the Czech Republic in the development of quality infrastructure in BiH, through support to the Institute for Standardization and qualification of the laboratories, stressed the officials.
The president of the Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing (UNMZ), Milan Holecek and director of the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BAS), Aleksandar Cincar, after a series of bilateral talks in the last month, have also signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of standardization.
