On September 20, 2013, during the 36th General Assembly of ISO, a Memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of standardization was signed between the Armenia National Institute of Standards (SARM) and the Institute for Standardization (BAS). The memorandum was signed by the Director of the Institute for Standardization, Mr. Aleksandar Cincar and Director of the Armenia National Institute of Standards (SARM) Mr. Yenok Azaryan.

This memorandum represents the basis for future cooperation in standardization area. In this way Armenia National Institute of Standards (SARM) and BAS shall, within their competence, and in accordance with the legislation of their countries, improve cooperation regarding information about the activities in the development and implementation of standards, improvement of professional skills through the exchange of information and experiences as well as cooperation in other important directions that represent the common interests of these two institutions.
