Visit of NATO Standardization Agency (NSA) delegation, EUFOR, Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces of B&H to the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina

  Among activities undertaken for development of standardization system in the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the initiative of the Ministry of Defence, the ​​contact with the NATO Standardization Agency (NSA) has been achived.

NSA has expressed willingness to provide assistence to the Ministry of Defense in all standardization areas, so the official cooperation started by holding a two-day seminar from 19 to 20 October 2011 in the Army Hall of B&H in Sarajevo, which was attended by representatives of the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina, headed by Mr. Aleksandar Cincar, Director of the Institute and Mr. Sead Bekić, Deputy Director.

The aim of introducing standardization system in the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces of B&H is to enhance country's defense capabilities, optimize use of defense resources and achieve and maintain required level of interoperability with NATO countries

On 20 October 2011, as part of planned activities related to the seminar, the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina was visited by delegation consisting of representatives of the NATO Standardization Agency, headed by  Mr. Cesare Balducci, Deputy Director of NSA, and representatives of EUFOR and Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces of B&H.

During the visit, members of delegation were acquainted with the work and organization of the Institute and discuss possibilities for future cooperation.

Director of the Institute, Mr. Cincar, highlighted that the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina is ready to cooperate and give its full support to standardization process in the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina in accordance with legislation.
