11th Conference of BH K CIGRE (International Council on Large Electrical Systems Committee for Bosnia and Herzegovina) was held in Neum from 15 to 19 September.

This conference gathers experts and researchers in electrical engineering and power sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina, discussing questions and answers from the aspect of generation, transmission and distribution of electricity as well as the shape of future BiH power system, despite the challenges that lie ahead.

140 scientific papers was prepared for this meeting, written by 322 authors, and presented through 16 study committees. The Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina was represented by Dušan Djurdevac with a topic: “The introduction of energy management systems according to ISO 50001 at the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, and Mirjana Šućur: “Standardization of electrical cables with special reference to the cables in mining”.

Professional presentations of the companies such as ABB, ALSTOM, ISKRAEMCO, KONČAR and SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC were also demonstrated.
