The third annual online conference “Entrepreneurship and Innovation”
On Tuesday, December 8, 2020, the third online conference “Entrepreneurship and Innovation” was held. The conference was organized by Eda - Enterprise Development Agency within the project “European Small Business Act as a Framework for Strategies and Policies for Small and Medium Enterprises in Bosnia and Herzegovina - SBA in BiH”, in cooperation with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and the Mozaik Foundation, and with the support of the Swedish Embassy in Sarajevo.
“LONAC Ecosystem” was presented at the conference - a model for youth activism, entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship that provides numerous and collectively developed professional opportunities for any young man or woman in BiH, regardless of her or his identity.
At the second panel innovations were discussed and the experiences of successful companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina (ELAS Metalexpert and Ećo Company) were presented. Representatives of these companies also pointed out many things that would facilitate their further development and business, but which would also help other companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina to follow their direction.
At the last part of the conference participants discussed how innovative manufacturing companies can contribute to the establishment of new companies and how new companies can contribute to the innovation of manufacturing companies.
Support to BiH entrepreneurship comes from the project “European Small Business Act as a Framework for Strategies and Policies for Small and Medium Enterprises in Bosnia and Herzegovina - SBA in BiH” and was partially realized through the Institute for Standardization of BiH. 21 standards in the field of wood processing, metal processing and welding were translated, which were assessed as a priority by the representatives of the companies. Also, activities on the redesign of the website of the Institute for Standardization of BiH were realized, in order to facilitate access to standards and information for companies, and online purchase of standards was enabled.
