From 25 to 29 November 2019, the first ISO Leadership and Management Development Program Workshop was held in Port Louis, Mauritius. The workshop was organized by the International Organization for Standardization - ISO and was hosted by the National Standards Body of Mauritius.

This ISO Leadership and Management Development Program is a pilot project and aims to develop leadership skills and encourage workshop participants to take an active part in the activities of ISO and its decision-making process.

Based on the evaluation of the large number of applications received for this workshop, 10 participants, heads of standardization bodies from Africa and Europe, were selected. Among the participants from our region were the Director of the Institute for Standardization of BiH, Mr. Aleksandar Cincar, as well as the Director of the Institute for Standardization of Serbia, Ms. Tatjana Bojanić, who successfully mastered the first part of the course. The course will continue for the next 6 months, through distance mentoring, via information and communication technologies.
