ETSI General Assembly was held
The General Assembly of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) was held from April 16 - 17, 2024. This significant event brought together representatives from various countries and organizations to collaborate on improving telecommunications standardization.
ETSI is a recognized European standardization organization that develops technical specifications and standards for telecommunications technologies. Its standards have global significance and are applied in many areas, including mobile communications, wireless systems, security, and interoperability.
This year's General Assembly, held at the ETSI headquarters in Sophia Antipolis, France, was attended by representatives of various organizations and national standardization bodies. Among them were representatives of the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina: Aleksandar Todorović, Director of the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Zvjezdan Šehovac, Head of the Department for Electrotechnical Standardization.
Mr. Jan Elsberger was elected as the new ETSI Director-General of for a five-year term, and his experience and expertise will contribute to further development of standardization in the field of telecommunications.
In addition to the General Assembly, a meeting of national standardization organizations group (NSOG) was held. At this meeting, representatives from different countries exchanged experiences and discussed activities crucial for the development and promotion of standardization in the field of telecommunications. This dialogue contributes to a better understanding of challenges and opportunities in standardization.
The Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue to monitor trends in global and European standardization. Through cooperation with ETSI and other relevant organizations, we will strive to improve the quality and interoperability of telecommunication systems, ensuring reliable and secure services for all stakeholders.
