On 18 March 2015, in Sarajevo the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BAS) and Foreign Trade Chamber, in cooperation with the Institute for Accreditation (BATA), the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations and the Market Surveillance Agency (ANNT) organized a seminar on „Technical regulations, standardization, certification“.

The aim of the seminar was to inform business entities about quality infrastructure in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Over 50 participants attended the seminar who, through the discussion with the representatives of relevant institutions, had the opportunity to gain information about the competence of the institutions responsible for the implementation of a quality system.

Speakers at the seminar were:

• Sead Talović, on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, with the topic „Technical regulations of BiH – Adoption of EU Directives“
• Refik Salihović on behalf of the Institute for Accreditation of BiH with the topic „Accreditation in BiH“
• Mićo Drljo, on behalf of the Market Surveillance Agency of BiH with the topic „The importance and role of the Agency in the market surveillance system and surveillance results for 2014“

On behalf of the Institute for Standardization of BiH, director Aleksandar Cincar informed the participants on the role of standards and the Institute.
