Seminar "Activities in the field of standardization and new standards"
On December 6, 2017, the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina organized a seminar on "Activities in the field of standardization and new standards" where the attendees were acquainted with the latest developments in the field of standardization in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with particular reference to the general standardization and standardization in the field of electrical engineering.
The following topics were presented at the seminar:
- Development and the importance of the Institute's Work Programme on the adoption of standards and other standardization documents,
- Reference to standards when adopting technical regulations,
- Current standards in the field of general standardization,
- Current standards in the field of electrical engineering,
- Search of the website of the Institute.
The aim of the seminar was to present the work and activities of the Institute for Standardization of BiH, and to invite the representatives of competent institutions to more actively participate in the work of the Institute's expert bodies, and to work on the improvement of cooperation.
The ultimate goal of the seminar is to further improve the coordination between the competent institutions in order to achieve full functionality of the system for ensuring the freedom of movement of goods, in accordance with the recommendations of the 2016 Report on Bosnia and Herzegovina of the European Commission.
The seminar was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, the Administration of BiH for Plant Health Protection, the Communications Regulatory Agency of BiH, the Institute for Accreditation of BiH, the Market Surveillance Agency of BiH, the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption and the Coordination of the Fight against Corruption of BiH, the Republic Institute for Standardization and Metrology of the Republic of Srpska, the Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Federal Ministry of Physical Planning.
Lecturers at the seminar were employees of the Institute for Standardization of BiH: Tihomir Anđelić, Mirjana Šućur, Biljana Baljaj and Željka Popić.
