In the field of work of the Technical Committee BAS/TC 3, Quality management and quality assurance by translation method, the following standards have been adopted and published:

BAS EN ISO/IEC 17021-1: 2017, Conformity assessment - Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of management systems - Part 1: Requirements

This standard contains principles and requirements for the competence, consistency and impartiality of bodies providing audit and certification of all types of management systems (quality, environmental management, information security, etc.). Certification bodies operating to this international standard do not need to offer all types of management system certification. Certification of management systems is a third party conformity assessment activity, and bodies performing this activity are therefore third party conformity assessment bodies. Certification bodies can be non-governmental or governmental, with or without regulatory authority. This standard is a basis for the accreditation of certification bodies for management systems.

BAS ISO/IEC 17021-2: 2017, Conformity assessment - Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of management systems - Part 2: Competence requirements for auditing and certification of environmental management systems

This standard specifies additional competence requirements for personnel involved in the audit and certification process for environmental management systems (EMS) and complements the existing requirements of BAS EN ISO/IEC 17021-1.

BAS ISO/IEC 17021-3: 2017, Conformity assessment - Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of management systems - Part 3: Competence requirements for auditing and certification of quality management systems.

This standard specifies additional competence requirements for personnel involved in the audit and certification process for QMS and complements the existing requirements of BAS EN ISO/IEC 17021-1.
