The European Commission has published a report on the outcomes of the European standardization panel survey, detailing responses and recommendations. The preparation of the survey involved the CEN and CENELEC Presidential Committee. The organizations CEN and CENELEC also contributed to the promotion of the survey. The objectives of the survey were:

• To identify the demand from industry and other stakeholders for standards as potential results from research and innovation projects;
• To assess how research and innovation framework programs of the European Union (such as Horizon Europe) can tackle them;
• And as always, to raise awareness about the importance of standardization.
