In accordance with the commitments to implement the provisions of Directive 98/34/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council and its amendment 98/48/EC, the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina carries out the procedure for formal communication - notification in the standardization area.

The Institute is involved in the CEN INFOPRO system for reporting (notification) of original BiH standards as well as in the CENELEC notification system. Since 2012, CEN and CENELEC have a common notification system for the development of national standards.

In the December issue of the CEN Monthly Notification Register 2014, the notification for initiation of the project regarding original BiH document prBAS EN 1990/NA: 2015 Eurocode - Basis of structural design - National annex has been published as well as an information on published original BAS standards for vertical traffic signs:

BAS 1050: 2014, Vertical road traffic signs - Technical requirements;

BAS 1051: 2014, Vertical road traffic signs - Danger warning signs;

BAS 1052: 2014, Vertical road traffic signs - Prohibitory or restrictive signs;

BAS 1053: 2014, Vertical road traffic signs – Information signs;

BAS 1054: 2014, Vertical road traffic signs - Advance direction road traffic signs; and

BAS 1055: 2014, Vertical road traffic signs - Additional panels.

Info center of the Institute regularly publishes monthly reports on new notifications in CEN Monthly Notification Register and CENELEC Register of New National Standardization Initiatives together with the data from all full and affiliate members of CEN and CENELEC on its website at /button_10.html, which contributes to informing the BiH public about the new national standardization projects of all full and affiliate members of CEN and CENELEC.
