By translation method, the Institute for Standardization of BiH adopted the following standards through the Technical Committee BAS/TC 42, Wood and Wood Products:

BiH standard BAS EN 581-2: 2017, Outdoor furniture - Seating and tables for camping, domestic and contract use - Part 2: Mechanical safety requirements and test methods for seating, third edition.

This European standard specifies the minimum requirements for the safety, strenght and durability of all types of outdoor seating for adults, without regard to materials, design/construction or manufacturing processes. It does not apply to street furniture, removable upholstery and covering. Also, this standard does not include requirements for the durability of castors/wheels and hight adjustment mechanisms, requirements for electrical safety, requirements for the resistance to ageing and degradation caused by light, temperature and moisture.

The test requirements contained within this European Standard are based on use by persons weighing up to 110 kg.

BiH standard BAS EN 14749: 2017, Furniture - Domestic and kitchen storage units and worktops - Safety requirements and test methods, third edition.

This European Standard specifies safety requirements and test methods for all types of kitchen and bathroom storage units and domestic storage furniture and their components. The standard does not apply to non-domestic storage, office storage, catering equipment, retail storage and industrial storage lockers. Also, it does not apply to units covered by EN 71-1, Safety of toys - Part 1: Mechanical and physical properties and EN 60065, Audio, video and similar electronic apparatus - Safety requirements (IEC 60065).

Standard does not include requirements for resistance to aging, degradation, flammability and electrical safety.

Annex A (normative) contains additional test methods.

Annex B (informative) contains a guide to testing of units and components in accordance to this document.

Annex C (informative) contains an example of loading of wall hanging units.

Annex D (informative) contains a method for calculation of horizontal and vertical acting forces.
