The third edition of the original BiH standard BAS 1044: 2020, First Aid Kit for Motor Vehicles, has been published. This BiH standard withdraws and replaces BAS 1044 from 2013. The standard was prepared by the Technical Committee BAS/TC 25, Health Protection Technology. 

The purpose of the standard is to provide first aid to an injured person at the scene of a traffic accident. The standard provides information on the technical requirements for the manufacture and contents of the kit, the requirements that must be met for each medical device contained in the kit, a description of the methods for testing of the kit as well as the rules for labelling the first aid kit for motor vehicles.
