Host of the 38th  General Assembly of the International Organization for Standardization - ISO, which was held from 16 to 18 September 2015 in Seoul (Korea), was the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS).

General Assembly, which is the highest governing body of ISO, gathered over 600 delegates, representatives of 163 ISO member countries. The representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina was the Director of the Institute for Standardization, Mr. Aleksandar Cincar.

This was an opportunity to discuss the ISO products, services and systems in order to improve the standardization and quality of work.

The following issues were on the GA agenda:

• ISO Strategy 2016-2020 and its implementation, focusing on active participation of all stakeholders, especially industry,
• Standards and education,
• Revisions of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001,
• ISO Action Plan for Developing Countries.

This year as well the Conference was marked by awarding recognition for outstanding achievement in standardization. Technical Committee ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 27 IT Security techniques won ISO LDE award.
