In early November 2016, the International Organization for Standardization ISO has published a new technical specification ISO/TS 9002, Guidelines for the application of ISO 9001: 2015. This technical specification provides guidelines and examples that allow users to implement quality management system, regardless of the size of their organization.

ISO/TS 9002 will complement the most popular international standard ISO 9001: 2015, which specifies requirements for a quality management system. The requirements of ISO 9001 are very wide as it is applicable to all organizations regardless of their size and context. ISO/TS 9002 does not specify new requirements, but gives guidelines that are supported by detailed explanations and examples in order to help organizations to fully benefit from the implementation of their quality management system.

Technical specification ISO/TS 9002 will help those who are introducing quality management system for the first time according to the new edition of ISO 9001: 2015, and those who are certified to ISO 9001: 2008 and plan to establish its own quality management system according to the new edition of ISO 9001: 2015.

BiH technical committee BAS/TC 3, Quality management and quality assurance started the activities on adoption of new technical specification ISO/TS 9002 which is expected in the second quarter of the next year.
