CEN and CENELEC organized a seminar “StandarDays 2019”

The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) and the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC) have organized a seminar “StandarDays” in the period from 29 to 30 April 2019 in Brussels. This two-day seminar aimed to raise public awareness of the activities and importance of European Standardization System.

 

 

111 participants from all over Europe attended the seminar and they were also representatives of the national standardization bodies, industry, non-governmental organizations, European institutions and academic communities. The participants received a clear overview of the European Standardization System (CEN and CENELEC), products and processes, as well as information on the benefits of engaging stakeholders in the activities of these standards organizations.

 

 

During interactive sessions, the participants had the opportunity to give their perception of the European Standardization System. Standards and their significant role in driving innovations, the role of the European standards in certain priority areas such as the circular economy, small and medium enterprises, digital society were also discussed at the sessions.

 

 

The Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina was represented by senior associates Biljana Baljaj and Željka Popić.
