Forum was attended by directors of national standardization bodies from Romania, Croatia, Belarus, Albania, Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, Latvia, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Bosnia and Herzegovina was represented by Mr. Alexander Cincar, director of the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The main speakers at the forum were Mr. Rob Steele, Secretary General of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and Mr. Graham Holloway, ISO expert. Topics that were discussed at the workshop are: focusing on customers, processes in the national standardization bodies, financing of national standardization bodies, and their growth and development; regional perspective (the adoption and use of international standards as a solution for the use of different standards in the region), as well as commercial policy and the protection of intellectual property rights.
