8th Quality Conference in BiH

As part of the European and World Quality Week, Bosnia and Herzegovina Quality Association and “Privredna Stampa” Ltd. Sarajevo organized the 8th Quality Conference in BiH “Quality - Sustainable Development - the Road to the EU” in Trebinje from 18 to 19 November 2013. By organizing this conference the 10th anniversary of the Association for Quality in Bosnia and Herzegovina which was founded on 13 November 2003 in Zenica was celebrated. Around  70 participants attended the conference.

During the conference the following topics were presented: Role of the media in promoting quality, quality of public administration, metrology system in BiH, the role and importance of accreditation in the sustainable development of Bosnia and Herzegovina, integrated management systems, certification of systems, personnel and products, safety and quality of food products in BiH. market, health care quality, introduction of quality standards in higher education institutions .

Presentation on “Standards, standardization and technical regulation in sustainable development of Bosnia and Herzegovina” was held by Mr. Goran Tesanovic, assistant director for conformity assessment at the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Mr. Tesanovic was also an active participant in the round table on “Quality - Sustainable Development - the Road to the EU”, which was held within the conference.

By presenting above mentioned, current topics, the 8th Quality Conference stressed the important directions and activities of all relevant stakeholders in their joint effort to develop quality infrastructure and create a more favorable view of products and services placement.

European and international organizations for quality are traditionally celebrating the World Quality Day every second Thursday in November, and this whole week is celebrated as World Quality Week.
