8th General Assembly Meeting of SMIIC, 10th Board of Directors Meeting of SMIIC and SMIIC Forum 2015 were held from 3 to 7 May 2015 in Dubai, organized by the ESMA – Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology.

Representatives of the SMIIC member countries: Afghanistan, Algeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Egypt, Gabon, Gambia, Guinea, Iran, Jordan, Cameroon, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Mali, Morocco, Mauriania, Niger, Pakistan, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Surinam, Senegal, Tunisia, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and Northern Cyprus attended the meeting.

Representatives of Kyrgyzstan, Ivory Coast, SMIIC Accreditation Committee, the Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organization (AIDMO), the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Turkey, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the COMCEC Coordination Office also attended the meeting as observers.

The delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which holds an observer status, consisted of Aleksandar Cincar, director of the Institute for Standardization of BiH and Amir Sakić, director of the Agency for Halal Quality Certification in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Mr Amir Sakić held a presentation on „Halal Assessment – Activities and Issues in non – OIC countries” at the SMIIC Forum 2015.
