The 55th  session of the Joint Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification (rus: MGS, eng: EASC) of the following countries: the Russian Federation, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, the Republic of Moldova, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan and Ukraine was held in the Russian Pyatigorsk city from 26 to 28 June 2019..

The topic of the Conference was dedicated to the future steps that need to be taken in order to improve the area of ​​quality infrastructure.

At this meeting Bosnia and Herzegovina was represented by the Director of the Institute for Standardization of BiH, Mr. Aleksandar Cincar, who participated as an observer. With his presentation, Mr. Cincar acquainted the participants with the established system of quality infrastructure in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the system of standardization and the strategy of standardization development in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The representative of Slovenia, Mr. Bogdan Topič, President of the Managing Board of the Institute for Standardization of Slovenia, who was also present as an observer, addressed the participants.

The Conference was attended by more than 200 participants from the MGS/EASC countries.
