38th Plenary Meeting of European Technical Committee CEN/TC 51 in Prague

38th plenary meeting of the European Technical Committee CEN/TC 51 was held in Prague, from 26 to 27 March 2015. Main activity of CEN/TC 51 is the development of standards that include: definitions and terminology, specifications and methods of test for cements and lime used in building and civil engineering. Chairman of the technical committee was Mr. Michel Delort, whose term has expired, and during this meeting a new chairman, Mr. Laurent Izoret was unanimously elected. CEN/TC 51 Secretariat is held by NBN (Belgian Institute for Standardization).

 

The agenda of the meeting consisted of 22 agenda items, and most of them referred to the reports of various working groups (WG), which are an integral part of the committee. The two most important items are related to the adoption of the new Work Plan of the Technical Committee CEN/TC 51, as well as information regarding CEN/CENELEC and Declaration on Performance (DoP) in standards that have Annex ZA.
