The 38th CEN General Assembly and the 52nd CENELEC General Assembly
General assemblies were followed by the European Standardization Summit 2012 – „Towards a sustainable economy“. Participants discussed on how standards can contribute to a new kind of economy, which is more resilient and sustainable, operating within the limits of our planet's resources and contributing to the creation of a fairer society. Besides the Director General and the Deputy Director of the Institute, remaining two members of the Institute's delegation – Mr. Goran Tesanovic and Mrs Jasmina Ljubuncic, attended the summit.
Furthermore, as a part of above mentioned events, the TAIEX follow-up workshop for CEN-CENELEC Affiliates on „Participation of SMEs in standardization process“ took place on June 06, 2012. The ongoing project for full members of CEN and CENELEC „SMEST 2“ (SME Standardization Toolkit) was presented on that occasion. Mrs. Jasmina Ljubuncic participated at this workshop as a representative of the Institute.
Delegation of the Institute used the stay in Bulgaria for meetings with representatives of the Bulgarian Institute for Standardization (BDS). Also, they discussed activities related to the ongoing EU Twinning Project "Support to the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina" and exchanged experiences in the field of standardization and conformity assessment. Bulgarian Institute for Standardization (BDS), with AENOR (Spain) and DIN (Germany) is a member of the consortium that is responsible for implementation of the project.
