Term (EN) gas rate adjuster
Definition (EN)A device allowing the gas rate to a burner to be set at a predetermined value according to the supply conditions. It often consists of a screw, termed a ‘throttle screw' or an ‘adjustment screw'. The operation of changing the setting of this device is termed the ‘adjustment of the gas rate'. The adjustment screw of a variable regulator is regarded as a gas rate adjuster. In this case the data plate and the instructions should state the limits of the range rate.
