BAS EN ISO 12544-5: 2017, Paints and varnishes - Corrosion protection of steel structures by protective paint systems - Part 5: Protective paint systems, is adopted by translation method.

This BiH standard is identical to the international standard EN ISO 12944-5: 2007, Paints and varnishes - Corrosion protection of steel structures by protective paint systems - Part 5: Protective paint systems, and replaces the standard BAS EN ISO 12944-5: 2009, Paints and varnishes - Corrosion protection of steel structures by protective paint systems - Part 5: protective paint systems.

This part of ISO 12944 describes the types of paint and paint systems commonly used for corrosion protection of steel structures. It also provides guidance for the selection of  paint system available for different environments and different surface preparation grades, and the durability grade to be expected.

By translating this part, we completed the series of translated EN ISO 12944 standards, which consists of eight parts.
