The Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina, through its Technical Committee BAS/TC 8, Insulation coordination, high-voltage testing and instrument transformers, has adopted the third edition of the BAS EN 50386:2023, Bushings up to 1 kV and from 250 A to 5 kA, for liquid filled transformers  (translation of the English version of the EN 50386:2010).

BAS EN 50386:2023 specifies the requirements for ceramic insulated bushings for rated voltage up to 1000 V, rated currents of 250 A to 5000 A and frequencies of 15 Hz up to 60 Hz for liquid filled transformers.

Insulators covered by this standard shall be suitable for operation with one end partially or fully immersed in the insulating liquid and the other end in air. The standard shows the basic construction of the bushings and dimensions, as well as given test values of electrical and mechanical loads of bushings.
